AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Hi Roy,

I note that you are continually rebuilding AccuRender nXt – Is AccuRender nXt work in progress? Will you get to a point where it will be complete? Should I be continually downloading the latest build?

Also are there any plans in future to produce a comprehensive user’s manual? Don’t get me wrong the forum is a great resource for a newbie like me but I am not comfortable having to constantly ask for help. Most of your members seem very advanced and I wonder how they have come to be so proficient?

Sean was asking (besides others) : "Does anyone know how to interrogate one’s own computer to find out the specification, processing power, memory etc.". My answer was just about this.

Thanks George - Downloaded CPU-Z and ran, this has provided we with a wealth of information about my computer which is useful to know, whether it helps with this issue is another matter as Roy pointed out but thank you never the less.

Roy I'm just about to follow your instructions and will feed back shortly...

I followed your steps and I'm afraid it is still giving me the proxy warning!

Looks like I was wrong about the proxy objects.  I had the switch to display the Proxy Info DB turned off.  It does look like there are plenty of proxies in there but they shouldn't matter at all.  (Most are from previous versions of AccuRender.)

Try rendering the new version of the drawing you just downloaded.  Do not save unless nXt is loaded.  That can cause a known problem when converting between different version of AutoCAD dwg.

I've just opened it and have the proxy dialogue box asking me to choose - Proxy Graphics 1) Do not show proxy graphics 2) Show proxy graphics 3) Show proxy bounding box. Which do I choose??
Doesn't matter.

Right click on, "my computer icon" and choose properties.

"Thanks for your kind words. Yes, all plants are generated with nxt plant-editor. I have used leaves from Marc Chaumier's plant library. (Download/ Content + Entourage)"

"nXtRender doesn't use the AO texture image settings for anything, so don't bother trying to use that. I would start use the Diffuse textures at 100% and experiment with the levels of the Specular Reflection. You might need to toggle the…"
