AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Mostly more work on e4.  There were some reports of trace instability with the previous build.  Let me know if this build seems stable.

to update to the new biuld do I just reinstall the program?

does it change any of the works in progress?

Marty

Just install the new build. The process uninstall the former build and installs the new one. It does no changes to work in progress.

If it's a specific drawing, send it.  Otherwise there isn't much I can do.

Try a very simple model with simple materials.  If all of your models contain displacements this is likely the culprit.

Last time I checked, the bathroom one appeared to run with displacements-- just very slowly.  I need to check to see if there's some problem or if it's just a characteristic of the engine.  My models with displacements run just fine with this engine.  Not sure what's going on with yours.  The displacements in the bathroom scene were very finely tesselated, minimally displaced, and viewed very closely.  Any single one of these factors could be contributing.

Same model, same view, different engines. Some contour problems where model meets background image.

e4 right?  Background edge is a problem I just fixed (I think)-- other artifacts are caustics which should resolve after a bit more (I think.)  If you suspect something is wrong send the model and I'll take a look.  Note the small stem wall behind the arched canopy-- those lines are caustics (I think.)

Sorry Roy, image file names contain all information - passes, engine, time etc.

Ah-- what does 305 mean?

Never mind-- brain problem.

I'm considering making reflective caustics optional for e4, probably a material editor switch.  Refractive caustics would still happen automatically.  The net effect of this is that the reflective noise we're seeing due to shiny surfaces would go away (unless you ask for it.)  Swimming pools, glassware, etc. would still exhibit caustics.

The background of a row?

Questions for nxt render for autocad

Good day everyone,Can anyone here help me with these issues i keep having with nxt render for autocad ?1. How do you bring in textured models into autocad ( 3ds and obj) without losing their textures or having to re-assign them.2. How do you move these objects from place to place without experiencing viewport refresh sluggishness in the autocad viewport ?3. How do you add dirt to fabric textures for rendering.4. How do you avoid repeat patterns in textures for rendering ?See More
