ar3 vs nxt

hi guys have being using ar3 for almost 8 years now exploring nxt. but notice the interface differs quite abit from ar3. one such interface is the radiosity section in ar3. so for nxt we just have to click indirect lights for radiosity ?

Did you check path tracer in the advance tab of lighting? If yes you need at lest 100 passes of render for the noise to being to clear out.

hi can i check with u. in ar3 interface we can use it camera and set the view within the ar3 but for nxt, how do we set the camera to get the view we want ?

For NXT you use the autocad camera under the render tab, make a named perspective view. Make that named view current, then render. Your other option is to use the dview cammand old school style.

type, "camera" in the prompt and hit enter.

click in top view for camera location and again for camera target and hit enter.

right on the camera created and bring up the properties tab. Set the height of the camera and that of the
target (while you are doing this another window pops up showing you the view you are editing )

Click on named views via the view menu, select the camera and set current and apply.

This you bring into walkabout window a little more adjustment and voila. render.

If you need a background image, you have to use the "walkabout window" tool (icone=little foot). you import the bitmap picture as background, you set the size of the render picture to the same proportions as the background (can be taller or smaller), and in wired view (not shaded), with your mouse, you find the point of view that you prefer. Then you save that camera position in the walkabout window, and so it will be saved in acad.
