AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

For some reason when I try to render my models I am getting double shadows which don't seem to be representing the sun as the location I set. I have no other lights in the drawing. Even if I turn the sun off I seem to be getting shadows. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi show us an example,  and attach the drawing, some basic things,  check your units, put the model close to the wcs origin.

I will attach image soon just have to get it off work pc. Units are millimetres as that's what we work in and I have drawn the model at 0,0. It's like the sun is shining from two directions I have set the azimuth and altitude myself. Even when I try render a front elevation with no sun or lighting I am still getting shadows appearing which I don't want. Thanks for your help

Hard to say without seeing a picture (and perhaps even a model.)  If the shadows resolve when you let the rendering cook for a while this is likely normal behavior (the shadows are temporary artifacts caused by sky hemisphere lighting.)  If the shadows do not resolve but seem sharp and permanent then something is probably going wrong.

maybe you are using the studio preset?

"The wooden texture of the TV-Console looks quite decent. The Wallpaper on the left has an interesting structure, maybe it would look even better, if you make the texture seamless + applying a little bit of depth, e. g. with highpass - filter in PS?"

"Found 'Textured Mesh Support' only works with obj and 3ds Files which do not contain PBR Maps. To 'obj' converted newer 3ds do not render in nXt :-("

OBJ Plant Issue - Diffuse Maps

Hi to anyone;maybe a similar issue as Mr.Holz announced recently, (PBR Texture question):-added a obj. plant via 'Textured Mesh Objects' widget-reassigned maps (materials showed up, but with no maps attached, (although mtl. files are  in the same folder as corresponding maps and obj files)-tried to render (see 'result')So my question is: Does anybody knew about how to handle Diffuse Maps in nXt, i suspect there is no interpretation of the UV-Coordinates?Any hints and help kindly appreciated!…See More
