Are there any plans to include selection sets in nXt in the same way as 3DS Max?
I think they're known as passes where different elements are rendered separately.
At the moment I'm only aware of Z-depth for fog and DOF.
These are extremely useful for post production work in Photoshop - layers for reflection, refraction, lights, object ID random colour mask, ambient occlusion etc.

Not really. It's possible to use material masking for some of this in the image editor-- although you need to be careful at the edges of things.
