advanced rendering for AutoCAD
Soft Shadows
The Hybrid engine is really struggling to smooth out soft shadows.
Here are two test renders. The lower Path Tracer image was run for 2000 passes and the upper Hybrid was run for 4000.
It seems that no matter how long I run the Hybrid render for, it never gets any smoother.

That's as expected-- IORs of 1.0 use a different mechanism since there isn't any refraction or caustic. It's not a bad strategy if the refraction is negligible in the final image-- as in your case.

Of course you'll have to fake reflection...

Anyway-- like I said-- I did find a small bug which was causing some additional noise that wouldn't resolve.

CAN WE GET PETER MILNER TO TRAIN SOME OF US FOR A TOKEN ?
Good day, forum members,I was thinking that we could each, if interested, contribute a significant token to give Peter Milner and David to train us virtually in nxt render for Autocad. Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this.
