AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Does nXt support arcs and curved segments of the polylines with thickness like it was before (in old Accurenders)? I'm trying to render such objects, but curved segments are converted into the straight ones, only circle with thickness is rendered correctly (see the file attached).

Is there any variable that controls that? Facetres and viewres don't work.

Polylines with arcs are no longer supported.
There are some missing things in nXt, but this one is the worst. And it's not a question if someone likes plines or not but - for the first time from the very begining Accurender doesn't support ALL THE 3D OBJECTS in AutoCAD. I don't know what to say...
You need to convert ploylines with thickness and width to solids to have them render well.
Yes I know, Akinlolu, but then I cannot trim, extend and offset them anymore...
I do not do that until am sure I no longer need to modify them.

I have had to rework several parking lot lines due to this change in AR5. However the old rule of not mixing 2D, 2.5D and 3D content in your models still is a good habit to have.

The global command for those running into this issue is:

CONVTOSOLID

It really is a problem with curves or arcs so you can still use the POLYLINE with width for straight lines and such. But again it is better not to mix modeling types.

That is why I am 99% solid.

That makes the two of us!
Thanks, Eric, for this command. It helps a bit.

CAN WE GET PETER MILNER TO TRAIN SOME OF US FOR A TOKEN ?

Good day, forum members,I was thinking that we could each, if interested, contribute a significant token to give Peter Milner and David to train us virtually in nxt render for Autocad. Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this. So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More

3D_Replication final

I created this replication of one of Peter Milner's renders, not with AI but with sketchup (with the matchnewphoto tool), autocad and nxtrender.Critics and comments are welcome.
