Finally starting to play with the plant editor. One thing I cant quite figure out is the sizing of bark textures. With leaves, you can give dimensions, but I don't see that for bark. In the old days, it was just a material and we could set up scale there.
If I recall-- it's made to go one complete revolution horizontally and 1 meter of height. I may add scale factors at some point. Perhaps different scales and images for different order in the Complex template.
Using full-on materials with fixed mapping is a real possibility. The interface in the tree editor has to stay very simple-- and the materials must embed-- (the tree files have to be self-contained.) It would allow glass or chrome trees, though. Might be worth doing just for the fun factor.
Pshop or gimp is good for you: 2 render: 1 with trees (short time) and one without (long time). And so in pshop, you can play with the transparency of the trees, better than could do a renderer, and even have different level of transparency on the same tree, to hide or let show some different element of the picture. I would prefer have the possibility to use curved faces as leaves, that give more realism than the flat faces ;o)
Sure, I've done that too. Making a transparent tree has been one of the most asked for plants since ar2. Personally, I'm not a fan of any sort of transparency in landscape or other features. If it's there... it's there.
Bent leaves would be nice. I was building a Queen Palm last night and gave up because I though the leaves were too unnatural without some bend. Using my old legacy plants, nXt Does just the opposite though. Looks like me in the morning.
Gentlemen,The last file I used to load, was ArAcad_24_64.arx, and, unfortunately, it doesn't work with Acad 2025.Any idea how to get the proper nXt-App which suits Acad 2025?Any help appreciated...Regards, Maciej MarkowskiSee More
Good day, forum members,I was thinking that we could each, if interested, contribute a significant token to give Peter Milner and David to train us virtually in nxt render for Autocad. Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this. So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More
