AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Could use some direction here - not making any progress. Refer to the attached image and ACAD file. I am trying to add a light behind the circular window to have the window lit up in the rendering. The rendering is an exterior shot, facing the sun with the building in silhouette. I've added the light and turned it on but do not see the effect. Not sure how to proceed. Thanks - John

Hallo John

Thanks...I'll try and let you know.
Try glow.

After 3 passes.

sun on channel 0, sky on 1 and light on 2 could help too.
More good info - thanks for your help!
Thanks...might be an easier solution than the light. I'll try and let you know.
Is this more what you had in mind?

This is a huge space which you're trying to light with a single 100watt bulb, no realistic interior surfaces, nearly opaque glass, and have it compete with an extremely bright sky.

To get this image, I used the Path Tracer (it's faster for this sort of thing), boosted the light source to 10000 watts, made the glass almost fully transparent, and still had to create a multi-channel rendering and turn the sky down by a factor of 0.0001X. This last step may not be as necessary if the interior lighting and surfaces were more accurate.
Thanks Roy...It's getting there. I greatly appreciate your time and guidance. I'm venturing into unknown territory here and It's amazing to get such prompt, knowledgeable responses on the forum like this. Bless you all...John

CAN WE GET PETER MILNER TO TRAIN SOME OF US FOR A TOKEN ?

Good day, forum members,I was thinking that we could each, if interested, contribute a significant token to give Peter Milner and David to train us virtually in nxt render for Autocad. Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this. So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More
