AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Hi Roy

Quick questions about render farm and computers.

1. How does the render farm divide up the workload to the active nodes.

Equally dividing tasks regardless of the computers processing power or does it balance the tasks. Will a weak processing computer create a bottle neck or is more nodes better?

2. If I look at a computer that is rendering as a active node and the CPU is running at 100% say and the ram usage is around 1gb is that the optimal. The system currently has 2gb of ram, will installing more ram produce greater performance? Or is there a limit to what the CPU can handle. Tested by adding ram to 6gb and the ram usage only went up to 1.5gb.

What Ram amount will work best is the real question?

win7-64bit - i5 intel process with 2 gb ram. (running render farm)

(Using window task manager to monitor usage)

The picture I attached looks tall and skinny here-- it's a problem with the forum.  The original is correct.

I doubt if there's a problem with your editor either.  I haven't changed this stuff for ages.  Open 00000.  Select Image->Arithmetic->Add and select 00001.  Make sure you're in the right place.  It should work fine.

Bingo found the problem. It is my editor, just turned on my backup computer and loaded nxt on it, open the editor and it works fine.

Something is corrupted in my editor, even thou I uninstalled it and reload nxt 3 times.

Big thanks for working it thou with me...........the meeting tomorrow with client will be a happy one!

Thanks Roy

"For compatibility with AutoCAD 2026 you would need to purchase a license upgrade for nXtRender (AccuRender).  As an AR5 license holder you are eligible for a discount which we can give to you if you contact us at support@renderplus.com."

CAN WE GET PETER MILNER TO TRAIN SOME OF US FOR A TOKEN ?

Good day, forum members,I was thinking that we could each, if interested, contribute a significant token to give Peter Milner and David to train us virtually in nxt render for Autocad. Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this. So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More
