AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

AutoCAD 2013

This one adds AutoCAD 2013 compatibility.  It has not been tested extensively so please let me know about any bugs or problems.  The product should register the nXt command automatically if you install it on a machine with any flavor of AutoCAD 2013 already installed.  In case this mechanism fails, or in case you install AutoCAD 2013 after you install this build, try manually apploading the files AccuRender nXt_19_.arx or AccuRender nXt_19_64.arx (32 and 64 bit respectively) before executing the nXt command.  You will only have to do this once.

Engine 4

Continuing the quest for an engine which incorporates caustics and performs a more accurate interior daylight calculation.  Use the lisp command (nXtEngine 4) to access it.  I like the direction this one is going-- both in terms of efficiency and accuracy.  Try it when you have time.  I would avoid production work with it until its behavior is better established.  Test it in low res first.  Some things, notably fog and sss are not implemented yet.  This engine, like the others, is experimental.  I'm looking for feedback, but I'm not necessarily going to retain this one or either of the others if they prove too problematic.

fANTASTIC JOB..

autocad 2013 +nxt ...first impressions...

Came across this recently for those with Autcad 13 an importer for sketchup.

I haven't tried it as only use sketchup IRendernXt and autocadLT - Just thought you might want to know.

Shouldn't be any "extra" color.  Attach pictures if you want to talk about a specific example.  Saving to nXtImage format should be the same as before.

Great job Roy, fastest and better interior engine as long sun and sky is not involved, if sun or sky is turn on even .001 takes forever to resolve.

If you have a case that's worse than the Path Tracer I'm interested.  Many scenes with daylighting resolve quite a bit faster here.

CAN WE GET PETER MILNER TO TRAIN SOME OF US FOR A TOKEN ?

Good day, forum members,I was thinking that we could each, if interested, contribute a significant token to give Peter Milner and David to train us virtually in nxt render for Autocad. Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this. So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More
