nXtRender for AutoCAD

We at Render Plus will be working with Roy to create a new version of nXt for AutoCAD which will now be called nXtRender for AutoCAD.

For the past few years we have been interfacing the nXt Engine into Revit and SketchUp and we thought it would make sense for us to work on the AutoCAD platform as well. Sorry for the confusion the new name will create, but we wanted to come up with a name we could use for all three platforms - AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUp.

We are planning to "merge" the user interfaces to the nXt Engine on the three platforms - to take advantage of any special features which are in the the different platforms already, and, hopefully to add some feature you will like.

If you click Downloads above, you will be downloading the latest version, Spin 320. The only change is this version is that it allows a 30-day free trial at full resolution and it uses a new licensing scheme for new purchasers.

Rich, Jake and I, (from Render Plus), will be helping Roy respond to things here on the forum, and will be working mostly on the User Interface to nXtRender so that Roy can concentrate more on the nXtRender Engine itself.

Let us know what we can do to make it better.

Bekommen wir als registrierte User das Update kostenlos, oder müssen wir wieder eine neue Lizenz für 500 $ kaufen???

Was kann die 500 $ Version mehr als die Version 318b ??

Meine  Build 320 läuft auch leider nur noch 28 Tage. Und was kommt dann??

There are no differences between 318b and 320 - except for the 30-day free trial and the new licensing scheme. 

320 should have worked with you existing license, without being in trial mode. We will fix the licensing problem and will issue a new spin before the 28 days have passed.

You can continue to use 318b until we make some improvements which you would like to use.

We can also offer PayPal. But we prefer Google Wallet. Any credit card purchases are safe - because Google handles them, and does not give us your credit card information. Also, almost all credit card companies guarantee that the purchase will be legitimate.

Each platform has a separate purchase and a separate License - unless you purchase or upgrade to the "All Platform" License.

I've been playing with the plant editor: it is a really powerfull tool to create professional and light (in terms of Mb) plants for our models, but I think it needs some more improvements to compete with others in the market. There's no reference to scale (human scale or whatever), no idea if you're creating a 60 m tall tree or 60 cm tall shrub. As far as I could see, there's no way of creating branches towards the centre of the plant when you have more than 1 trunk. It might really compete with acclaimed other stuff if it could also export into other formats (3ds, obj, skp...).
