The first is from the autocad pluggin version, hybrid engine and the second from the standalone version also hybrid engine by default. Why the difference?

Car body material added.

I probably haven't implemented all of the complex material patterns yet.  Looks like it defaults to marble.

Just getting around to this.  Do you have a copy of the model still?

Never mind-- I see the problem.

I tend to prefer Nxt Studio for interior rendering than the AutoCAd pluggin, my only drawback is the yet implementation of some of the other complex material patterns.

Why do you prefer it?

It tends to give results faster, within twenty minutes of rendering you have close to 40 passes, such speed with the plugin am yet to attain (1200 x 600). This maybe due to the fact that more programs (AutoCad & Nxt)  are running compare to only Nxt Studio running.

Also the  hit or miss issue of complex material in term of number of maps. Needs to be looked at.

Wishlist

Could Cameras like AR3 be added to the studio if we cannot have it in Nxt.

It shouldn't-- the code is the same-- the speed should be the speed of the hybrid engine.

The answer to the camera stuff is, as usual, probably not-- although it may be worth exploring a little further.  What do you mean by AR3 cameras?  What specific features would you like to see?  We have discussed the possibility of building a modeler around the nXt Studio concept which might include something like this.

Camera with grips and constrains within axis to help easy positioning. Position and target determine by point and click. fine-tune by moving along particular axis say  y or x.

Right now you need to further launch more dialog boxes to that in AutoCad, it was better with AutoCad 2007 via Dashboard, which is what I do and then import to Nxt and save view.

Then back to AutoCad 2012 or 13 to render.

A good example of camera setting would be Studio Max Camera.

Definitely not going to happen in nXt Studio itself.  Through the lens (TTL) only in that platform.

"For compatibility with AutoCAD 2026 you would need to purchase a license upgrade for nXtRender (AccuRender).  As an AR5 license holder you are eligible for a discount which we can give to you if you contact us at support@renderplus.com."
