Thanks Sampdoria,   I will take a look . I always try to simulate real light conditions but I  also know that you are absolutely right in your  observation.

I like what Georges did to the Lamps, I always spoil my images by not knowing what to do with the lamp illuminations - they can break an image. I like the overall composition by Alejandro. I believe, since the stone cladded wall occupies such a huge segment of the render, you should throw some spotlights on it and make it more ambient. Right now the right side of the image is lovely while the left side is shrouded in dull darkness. I know thats how it is in real life but when making these sort of images for clients, it all needs to be happy. :)

It is not mine, Alejandro, it's yours image, from the beginning. :)

Thanks George for your comment, your post edition is really, really  good,  unfortunately  my photoshop skills are almost none.  Jorge Javier Lara is trying to teach me how to use some post edition techniques.  My posted image is  "as is" directly from Nxt. Can I use your edited image?

Alejandro, on attached image applied some tonal and contrast corrections (unfortunately without your permission, for what I am sorry). Result looks more "arch-photograph-ish" to my eye. But hey, it's just my taste, absolutely subjective. Really beautiful rendering!

No, it's a refractive one.  If you didn't specify any caustics generation then it's just a consequence of the "fake" ones that are included with e1.  Looks pretty convincing, though, in this example.

Roy, I was not trying to achieve this caustic,  maybe is the use of this large  air conditioners diffusers and  some combination of  reflections

Comment by Roy Hirshkowitz on July 2, 2012 at 9:41am

How did you do the caustic on the ceiling?

Comment by Alejandro Testa on July 2, 2012 at 9:21am

Thanks Roy,  is not E4 is E1

OBJ Plant Issue - Diffuse Maps

Hi to anyone;maybe a similar issue as Mr.Holz announced recently, (PBR Texture question):-added a obj. plant via 'Textured Mesh Objects' widget-reassigned maps (materials showed up, but with no maps attached, (although mtl. files are  in the same folder as corresponding maps and obj files)-tried to render (see 'result')So my question is: Does anybody knew about how to handle Diffuse Maps in nXt, i suspect there is no interpretation of the UV-Coordinates?Any hints and help kindly appreciated!…See More

"nXtRender doesn't use the AO texture image settings for anything, so don't bother trying to use that. I would start use the Diffuse textures at 100% and experiment with the levels of the Specular Reflection. You might need to toggle the…"
