AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

I really hope we could have one day a camera match tool, such as in 3DS or more simple, to perfectly match photos with models.

I agree with you, we have any confortable tool, in autocad or nxt, and we spend a lot of time to move the camera, to find the good position. Even when the model is not too heavy, it takes so much time to adjust in the walkabout window. So boring, but I believed it was an incompatibility of my graphic card ...
No perspective matching.  The WalkAbout tool usually works pretty nicely if you can get close.  You may need to use low-res versions of the photo and a simplified model in order for the performance to be adequate, but on my machine it seems to stay pretty interactive.

I guess I need to go over the intro webcast and see if I can pick up any good pointers for navigating the walkabout window.

Mine doesn't behave very well. Maybe I just don't understand it well enough.

You're allowed to ask questions.  Use the keyboard arrow keys for more precise movements.

Left Arrow pans left, right arrow pans right, up arrow zooms in down arrow zooms out.

Not enough controls to get where I need in most cases.

in 3D walk autocad command there is enough controls.

I believe I did describe matching method back in the old forum...works sufficiently well for us.

Depends a little whether you're in  Walk or Orbit mode.  Try Page Up and Page Down as well.

Hi Roy,

Where and how exactly do I attach the mother photo to match my walkabout view with?

regards

Birdman

There's a background tab on WalkAbout.

Very Nice. My job got done in seconds! :)

Thanks a lot!

It was a provocation, actually! To work on next builds!

The walkabout and bird view work well, but it keeps a lot of time to set the proper views. For instance, I find more direct to have the focal lenght rather than visual field, as far as most jpg informations bring the focal lenght data.

I personally use very low jpg files to match the model, than I mount the images in PS.
