AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Hi,

I'm experiencing some problems with region render. Firstly I rendered interior image, than I realized that textures on rafters are badly rotated (image A 4000 passes). So I tried to render it again with region render, I only changed rotation of textures on rafters...everything else (materials, lighting etc.) reamined same (image A patch 4600 passes). The region came out very different from whole image...it seems like path tracer didn't calculate second window that wasn't in selected area of a region. Is this behavior correct?

Patching doesn't work for the Path Tracer (this is documented).

ok, thanks for answer

As Path Tracer seems to be "the way to go" for advanced renderings, may we expect that patching would work for it, or is there some technical limitation preventing this at all?

No, patching is probably not going to work for the Path Tracer due to technical limitations.

Very nice rendering, BTW.

Thanks, we will definitely post some to the gallery. If you look at www.kopanskymlyn.cz, you find more nXt renderings related to the same project. We are happy using nXt.
Info that patching will not work with pathtracer is very sad... we are using pathtracer almost always and we also always do some mistakes that need patching:)
I understand pathtracer makes sort of "random" grain, but I do not mind sorting this out in Photoshop... only if pathtracer patch used the same lighting conditions as the whole rendering... would at least that be possible?

Nope.
Really nice work.

If you are going to re-render the full image to fix this issue, you may also want to look at the wood grain on the sliding glass doors.
