AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Just started a render using Engine 2 and this is the CPU usage I get (no higher than 23%).

Is this normal?

With Path Tracer, everything maxes out

I spoke too soon.

Looks like it's picking up momentum.

I ran a test render over the weekend, saved the render in nXt format, then tweaked the nXt image and saved as a tiff with Alph channel.

In Photoshop I selected the Alpha channel and created a layer mask.

As you can see from the image this has made the whole render translucent:

I'm not sure I completely understand yet.  Is the alpha channel present in the nXtImage in places where it shouldn't be?  Use your cursor and status bar to see-- it's the fourth color channel-- or use the View menu to see the alpha channel more directly.

You can see here that the alpha channel isn't totally black where it should be.

Is this an engine 2 test?  In any case I'll likely need to see the file to diagnose.  Haven't seen this here so far.

If it is e2 I'd love to see the result, regardless of potential alpha channel bug.

same issue here with the alpha channel

What's the issue exactly?  Is it e2 related?

not sure if this is adressed to me. The problem with e2 is when saving the image with alpha channel, it's impossible to use it as mask in PS.

Can I get this model for testing.  I'm not seeing the alpha channel problem here in any of my test images.

Yes, it's engine 2.

Here's the image.

If you look closely at the white storage unit, bottom left, you'll see there are still a few blotches left to resolve which is a concern considering the number of passes.

Also the top of the arms on the chairs look splotchy.

and here are the stats:

Very nice image overall-- any thoughts on how it compares to PT?

OBJ Plant Issue - Diffuse Maps

Hi to anyone;maybe a similar issue as Mr.Holz announced recently, (PBR Texture question):-added a obj. plant via 'Textured Mesh Objects' widget-reassigned maps (materials showed up, but with no maps attached, (although mtl. files are  in the same folder as corresponding maps and obj files)-tried to render (see 'result')So my question is: Does anybody knew about how to handle Diffuse Maps in nXt, i suspect there is no interpretation of the UV-Coordinates?Any hints and help kindly appreciated!…See More

"Thanks for your kind words. Yes, all plants are generated with nxt plant-editor. I have used leaves from Marc Chaumier's plant library. (Download/ Content + Entourage)"
