advanced rendering for AutoCAD

hi. in ar3/4 we can change the color of the sun to yellow / warm color to render a evening setting. but nxt, how do we achieve a evening rendering ?

1. You can use an Hdri map for global illumination.
2. You can use the time slider under the sun settings.

Hi any idea how to create our own hdri map or image that we can use in nxt ?
I believe you can, now, take a jpg background for an hdri picture, to enlighten your scene.
Creating a true HDRI map involves using an HDR studio type of program. Several exposure-bracketed photographs need to be combined using special software. To produce spherical projections either a special camera is used or a stitching program is used.

nXt now has a facility to "convert" a normal RGB bitmap image to an HDRI format-- this is only an approximation and requires some lighting information from the user. It does seem to work OK, though. The tool is available under the Widgets menu.
