AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

HP Pavilion is an i3 Core system which am presently using not. After about  a  year of usage it started have heating issues,  it goes into hibernation, while rendering, took it back to support and was told it is a fan issue. It was repaired, worked well for about half a year and now the problem is back. Later heard the models have heat issues.

Now am thinking of upgrading to Dell Inspiron 5423 an Intel Core Ci5-3317U (1.7Ghz) Processor, 4GB, 500GB, DVDRW, 1GB Graphics Card, Wireless, Bluetooth, Webcam, Windows 8, 14.1'' Screen, 1Yr Warranty.

Pray I do not have this issue again, any pointers? Thanks in advance.

You can normally set the CPU maximum usage under the Power Management stuff.  Typically you'll need to find the advanced settings under Power Management.  Setting the max CPU usage from 100% to something like 97% is often enough to help out a laptop that's having problems.  You'll barely notice the drop in performance but it can make a large difference to the amount of heat generated.  It may be enough to keep your existing machine working.  I would recommend this setting for all laptops these days-- none of them are designed to run with the processors pegged.

Thanks will give it a shot.

Just that I have used three Acer laptops before this and I never had such problem, my last Acer I once had it running for three days, and nothing busted.

Too small display to my taste and small keyboard as well. Ultrabooks aren't the best choice for CAD and rendering I think. What about some larger panels with same price and better performance?

As regards to overheating older laptop, there are special cooling docking bases for laptops on the market. They are supposed to provide extra cooling to notebooks with such heat issues.

The small display is due to weight because of mobility, being a very mobile person almost always on the move. The small display also helps to increase battery life span as lest power is consumed the smaller the display. At the office and at home I hook to a larger 21" flat screen display.

Once I replace this am going to yank off the screen and hook it up with a flat screen monitor for the kids.

Also placed an order for the cooling dock, should be in by Monday, more weight to move around with.

No sd qeu tan accesible sea esta maquina en tu pais, sin embargo, a mi me da un rendimiento exelente!!!   http://africa.asus.com/Notebooks/Gaming_Powerhouse/G74SX/

This I must say is a monster but it is twice the budget available right now.

"The wooden texture of the TV-Console looks quite decent. The Wallpaper on the left has an interesting structure, maybe it would look even better, if you make the texture seamless + applying a little bit of depth, e. g. with highpass - filter in PS?"

"Found 'Textured Mesh Support' only works with obj and 3ds Files which do not contain PBR Maps. To 'obj' converted newer 3ds do not render in nXt :-("

OBJ Plant Issue - Diffuse Maps

Hi to anyone;maybe a similar issue as Mr.Holz announced recently, (PBR Texture question):-added a obj. plant via 'Textured Mesh Objects' widget-reassigned maps (materials showed up, but with no maps attached, (although mtl. files are  in the same folder as corresponding maps and obj files)-tried to render (see 'result')So my question is: Does anybody knew about how to handle Diffuse Maps in nXt, i suspect there is no interpretation of the UV-Coordinates?Any hints and help kindly appreciated!…See More
