AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

So, I downloaded the nXt program, installed it, click on help only to find that's it's  another silly online only help file.  Nothing local to look up.  When clicked on the link is a dead link... 404.  I try to pull up the help file directly from the accurender website only to again find that it's missing with a link to purchase an e-book for a kindle that I don't own.  What gives?  Seriously... what's up with companies refusing to allow the help file to be part of the program or worse having dead links to help files that don't exist.  Anyone know where it's hiding?

Just one of the things I was looking for was about using RPC's in nXt.  I see from the forums it looks like folks are doing it, but nothing that I see about how to use them.  Many other Q's, but without a help file...

We are reworking the documentation, and must have left a bad link.

I will fix it, and add another post here in a few minutes.

Thanks!

Old help file is here:

http://wiki.mcneel.com/accurender/nxt/documentation

RPC specific help is here:

http://wiki.mcneel.com/accurender/nxt/documentation/beyond/rpc

Just ask if you need more info.

The on-line reference manual is working now at this URL:

http://www.nxtrender.com/wk/NXtRender_for_AutoCAD_Documentation.htm

The page on RPC is here:

http://www.nxtrender.com/wk/Using_Archvision_RPC_with_nXtRender.htm

We also have a printed manual, and a Kindle eBook manual available from Amazon:

(You can read Kindle books on any tablet or mobile device, or in any browser. You do not have to purchase a Kindle)

http://www.amazon.com/Rendering-AutoCAD-using-nXtRender-ebook/dp/B0...

While the link above works, the link from ACAD nxt help still doesn't work.

ACAD is going to the link http://nxtrender.com/documentation/nxtrender-for-autocad-documentat...

and you have the link as: ttp://www.nxtrender.com/wk/NXtRender_for_AutoCAD_Documentation.htm

Dashes vs. underscores... plus different subfolders; documentation vs. wk

Thanks, we'll clean that upo as well.

Wird es die Dokumentationen auch mal in Deutsch und das Buch bei Amazon auch mal in Deutsch geben???

We have a number of dealers now across the globe. At least one has asked us for copies of the documentation so they could translate it.

Hopefully some of the others will follow suit.

You might contact CadShop - our dealer in Austria and Switzerland, and encourage them to undertake a translation.

OBJ Plant Issue - Diffuse Maps

Hi to anyone;maybe a similar issue as Mr.Holz announced recently, (PBR Texture question):-added a obj. plant via 'Textured Mesh Objects' widget-reassigned maps (materials showed up, but with no maps attached, (although mtl. files are  in the same folder as corresponding maps and obj files)-tried to render (see 'result')So my question is: Does anybody knew about how to handle Diffuse Maps in nXt, i suspect there is no interpretation of the UV-Coordinates?Any hints and help kindly appreciated!…See More

"Thanks for your kind words. Yes, all plants are generated with nxt plant-editor. I have used leaves from Marc Chaumier's plant library. (Download/ Content + Entourage)"
