AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

I use a lot of ACI settings on my Acad Models. They help me a lot to switch from model to plan and view the images the way i want. How do i apply materials for Autocad Color dependnat objects (ACI). The old Accurender use to this as part of the basics...

Material assignment by ACI is no longer supported. Materials can be assigned by layer, object, or ACA display property.
Your kidding me! Accurender always used ACI, it was one of the easiest ways to set up colors for objects... i hate using ACAD materials. What about all my old objects and blocks that had ACI settings...
Hey, I have used AR3 for 60 years + or -
It is by far the best way to assign materials for what I do.
But you know, the younger generation knows best. ??
You need to assign the materials to each component in Autocad's Style Manager. See the image below.

No other way? I set up years of Accurender files with a palate of 100 colors. I set those up all as ACI dependant so i wouldn't have to mess with materials. If i had to do these settings, i might as well just use the built in AutoCad render.... Is there any hope of getting materials to be ACI again?
No.

Roy Hirshkowitz replied to Peter Milner's discussion AR Studio ground plane
"Yep-- the groundplane in ArStudio should be turned on in that case-- but you will get a rectangle which may need to be sized.  If it's not turning on, that's probably a bug."

"Not to worry. I've just seen that ArStudio has its own version of a ground plane. It just doesn't translate the old nXt one."

Roy Hirshkowitz replied to Peter Milner's discussion AR Studio ground plane
"Sorry-- just got back into town last night.  Infinite objects aren't supported in ArStudio-- so yes-- the ground plane has to be represented by a finite object, in this case a rectangle.  You don't have to use mine, you can use…"

"good image and nice montage... the only thing is that the sky is too blue ... a light colour and would make it perfect"
