AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

My computer completely crashes if I try adding groundcover or rather having added it, I then try to render.

I admit it is quite an old machine with an Inter Core I5 and 3gb Memory running at 3.2gHz

Need much more info to begin this one-- AutoCAD version / nXt version / and OS for a start.  Which render engine?

What do you mean by completely crashes?  Does AutoCAD keep running?  Does Windows keep running?  Do you get an error msg telling you it crashes or does the thing just seize up? Can you render a simple drawing with groundcover?  Is it a particular drawing or groundcover?

Best thing to do is to send us a model that's crashing and we'll take a look.  Simplify the model as much as possible, but make sure it still crashes.  I'll probably let Rich have at it first.

Sorry.

Windows 7 Home Premium

AutoCAD 2012.

Accurender Nxt 1.0.355

Message is something like "loading groundcover" - nothing else

I wait 10 minutes.

Ctl Alt Del fails. I have to turn machine off.

Can you send us the groundcover file and one of your models, to see if we can duplicate the problem here?

Here is one.

Attachments:

That groundcover file works for me.

I assume that we are trying to fine the image file for the grass on you machine, and looking everywhere if we cannot find it, and that is taking forever to do the search.

On my machine, that image file is located here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Render Plus Systems\IRender_nXt\bin_Nxt\Support\Plants\Leaves\Leaf004.png

Could you see if that file exists on your computer?

Yes it does exist.

I am using nxt to add groundcover and browsing for the file.

It stops when loading file.

That's what I did too.

I installed the older version of AccuRender that you're running, but it works fine for me.

Wen you have a chance, could you let it run for maybe a half hour and see if it ever returns?

Send a sample drawing with the groundcover if possible-- it may be a scale issue.

I have already sent dwg. But here it is again.

I don't see the model attached here.

Can you send it to me using my email address?

CAN WE GET PETER MILNER TO TRAIN SOME OF US FOR A TOKEN ?

Good day, forum members,I was thinking that we could each, if interested, contribute a significant token to give Peter Milner and David to train us virtually in nxt render for Autocad. Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this. So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More

3D_Replication final

I created this replication of one of Peter Milner's renders, not with AI but with sketchup (with the matchnewphoto tool), autocad and nxtrender.Critics and comments are welcome.
