advanced rendering for AutoCAD
We at Render Plus will be working with Roy to create a new version of nXt for AutoCAD which will now be called nXtRender for AutoCAD.
For the past few years we have been interfacing the nXt Engine into Revit and SketchUp and we thought it would make sense for us to work on the AutoCAD platform as well. Sorry for the confusion the new name will create, but we wanted to come up with a name we could use for all three platforms - AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUp.
We are planning to "merge" the user interfaces to the nXt Engine on the three platforms - to take advantage of any special features which are in the the different platforms already, and, hopefully to add some feature you will like.
If you click Downloads above, you will be downloading the latest version, Spin 320. The only change is this version is that it allows a 30-day free trial at full resolution and it uses a new licensing scheme for new purchasers.
Rich, Jake and I, (from Render Plus), will be helping Roy respond to things here on the forum, and will be working mostly on the User Interface to nXtRender so that Roy can concentrate more on the nXtRender Engine itself.
Let us know what we can do to make it better.

Hi Albert, if we hace already a nxt license, It will worl with the new nxtrender for Autocad?
If you purchased a nXt license for AutoCAD, it will work with the latest versions.
Starting with new versions in March it will only work with new versions if you purchased it within 12 months of the new versions. We will be offering renewals for people whose licenses are more then 12 months old.
You can continue to use your existing license with any versions put out within 12 months of purchase, but for newer versions you will have to renew it.
Hi Al,
Have you scheduled the described timeline as pricing and upgrading policy, that is to say cost of new seat of nXtRender for AutoCAD, of upgrade from older (more than year) NXT for AutoCAD licence or eventually the possibility of changing the platform from AutoCAD to Sketchup?
nXtRender for AutoCAD now costs $499.00.
All Renewals will be $120.00 prior to April 1, afterApril 1, they will be $240.00 - for the latest release and all releases for the next 12 months. We don't penalize people who wait a long time to renew. Some people may want to renew early just to get the lower cost for the next 12 months.
We are also offering an All-Platform license. (SketchUp, Revit and AutoCAD) This will be $320.00 for upgrade and renewal a the same time.
A platform change, which also includes the renewal, is $240.00. So it may make more sense to get the all platform license - whichever works best for you.
All licenses include a Laptop license - you can use the same license on both your Desktop and your laptop.
We also have discounts for 3 seat license and network/site licenses.
Great! Just one more question: say you have done a model in SU and got it ready to render in NXT for SU. If one imports the model using the new SU import capability of NXT will it automatically translate all materials properly? In other words, will be AutoCAD NXT materials compatible with SU NXT ones and vice versa (loadable by both applications without any further editing)?
That all-platform licence sounds really exciting!

I moved that query to a new thread: http://www.accurender.com/forum/topics/skp-import-into-autocad

I have for over a year a license from you.
Now I have installed build 320 and again a 30-day trial mode. Why is the license that I have been not automatically added to Build 320? Do I have to buy a new license?
If the more expensive from March 2013, when then real clouds (clouds) and other things come that are still missing?
When the number of pixels to be less and AR5 points faster?

Version 320 should have recognized your old license. We will try to figure out what went wrong.
In the meantime, you can run under the 30 day trial (it is a full version with no resolution restrictions), or you can download an older version from: Old Downloads
I own an nXt license. If I don't choose to upgrade, how long will my current licence work? Will it expire at some point?
I can't find an option to Renew my license on the website. How can I do this?
