AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Hi there,

I am using Nxt for some time but never made panorama's

Is there somewhere a Howto to make panorama's

I know that it is in the walkabout section but I have to make a camerapath.

I think a panorama does not need a path but only a certain amount of degrees to see.

Who cab help me out?

Marko the panorama will generate a 360 degrees image. You will  need a panoviewer (panp2qtvr is a good one and is free) to load the jpg image and transform in a qtvr image. Take a look at Miguel Tano Adames images, he use to work on panorama files.

I hope this help.

Alejandro

Alejandro,

I figured out that FSPViewer64 shows the image right away.

So no transformation is nessecary.

There is only a resolution matter.
In the main walkabout window there is a resolution option and in the next window (setup) also.

The resolution in the setup window is not taken but only the width in de walkabout window.
When I put there 4000 f.i. the render resolution is 4000x2000 and not 4000x3000 as i put it in de setup window.

What about the camera en target paths;

Only a camera path will not work

Can I use points for both paths?

Panoramas are only available in WalkAbout and therefore only use the WalkAbout resolution.  The aspect ratios for panoramas is always 2:1.  You specify the width in pixels.  The center of the panorama is your current viewpoint.  The starting direction is defined by your current view direction, although any up or down angle on the view is ignored (panoramas are never tilted up or down.)  Panoramas always cover the entire sphere.

Camera and target paths are not necessary for panoramas (they may not even work for doing multiple panos, I can't quite remember.)

There used to be a facility for linking panoramas together, jumping from one point of view to another.

Is this something that can be added back in?

It's not something I'm going to do, no.  There are a bunch of pano editors out there that allow you to add links.  Some of these may even be free.

Hi Marko, you actually just have to set the tipe of projection in the main walkbout window (perspective, two-points-perspective and PANORAMA). There's no need to set up any animation for that, nor camera path or view path. The the resolution depends very much on the use of the result image: i.e. I generally use 4000 pixel, which means 4000x2000 pixel rectangular projection image, good for almost every porpouse. FSPViewer64 is definitely good and very light, but if you want to create a walkabout paths into several panoramas, then I seggest panp2qtvr as Alejandro suggested (it creates various .mov files wich can be linked with hotspots, etc.). Consider that nXt panoramas are point-of-view ones, as the "observer" was standing in a point and looks all around. Have a look here if you want: http://www.accurender.com/photo/albums/panoramas
