AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Hi Roy,

working with some other Xfrog free plants I had transparency issue (see image). How can I raise the alpha channel transparency number (maybe something similar to how many glasses can I have one behind the other and see still through it we had in AR3?)

See if raising the Lighting->Advanced->Refractive Bounces fixes this.  If not, something else is up and you'll need to send the model.
Refractive bounces did the trick Roy. In order to completely clear black planes in the shrub I raise it to about 40 or 45. Does it slow down the resulting rendering time?
George, qeu parameters used qeu values? could share what was the final configuration please.
Thank you George
Don't automatically change this Jorge--this setting can be left alone most of the time.
Seems a little excessive.  It will slow things down a little-- probably not enough to notice for most scenes.
Thank you Roy.
It is possible a  setting this high could crash the original "Packet Tracer" engine.  Something closer to 10 (or redefining the plant so it's a little less dense in the center) might work better.

The second (and visually OK) rendering sample was made using path tracer - without any problem. I'll try it with packet tracer to see what will happen. Good to know this PT limitation.

As regards the plant, I'm not going to do any change. Simply I will not use this one (and any other with similar problem), as I am using plants only for exterior rendering entourage and decoration.

It's a nice looking shrub-- just a little dense in the middle.  Perfectly usable and easy to thin out.  Ah-- but I see now it's an xfrog-- not one of mine.  Sorry, that makes sense.
Packet tracer with refractive bounces set to 40 causes no crash with render nice and clean.
