AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Hi All

Trying to get a ground plane and sky to be reflected on to my model, but not have them showen in my images (annimation) with out editing each file's channels in nxt editor.

I'm looking for the lighting and reflection on my model but just a clear white background.

What is the best way to do this.

Thanks

Ian

Not sure what you mean-- try attaching a frame or two to a message.

Attached to images for you to have a look at.

The model that has a sky and ground plane reads the right colour and has nice shading.

The client requires just the model with clear white background for a website.

Example of the product below.

http://www.ipfg.com.au/Clienttestarea/LP_150-80-131/object_SS_lp150...

As you can see my lighting is wrong.

Without the sky and background I getting a washed out look with frames sometimes over reflecting.

There is a lot of frames for each model some turning off channels in ntx editor would be painful.

Can I render using sky and ground plane but have them not is the animation output files, using setting or am I miss a simple solution to my problem.

Attachments:

Save rendered images to separate files with alpha channel. Tag ground polygon as alpha channel too. That way you will not get the rendered sky and ground in photo program and you will be able to use any background you wish. You can also regulate the tonal level of each picture.

P.S.

What's wrong with the second picture? :)

Was tryng to get settings to render using animation with large number of out-put files.

Use your idea a lot with single images, Or is their a batch save out?

The image is wrong if you know the material assigned and when you spin around the model it white-outs with reflection at points. No stable background, just lights. Not working for me.

Maybe I can use the HDRi because I can turn that off and on with it still showing in the model?

I'm not sure I quite understand either-- but anyway you can try the following:

Render just the background and groundplane using a panoramic projection  (it's available in WalkAbout.)  Save the rendering out as an HDR and then use it to light your model.  Make sure the visible background you use for this first rendering is an HDRi and not a picture.  For the second rendering you can use a white visible background.

Thats just a great idea, will do

thanks Roy

CAN WE GET PETER MILNER TO TRAIN SOME OF US FOR A TOKEN ?

Good day, forum members,I was thinking that we could each, if interested, contribute a significant token to give Peter Milner and David to train us virtually in nxt render for Autocad. Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this. So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More
