AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

I've been playing with the plant editor: it is a really powerfull tool to create professional and light (in terms of Mb) plants for our models, but I think it needs some more improvements to compete with others in the market. There's no reference to scale (human scale or whatever), no idea if you're creating a 60 m tall tree or 60 cm tall shrub. As far as I could see, there's no way of creating branches towards the centre of the plant when you have more than 1 trunk. It might really compete with acclaimed other stuff if it could also export into other formats (3ds, obj, skp...).

Can you add the option of imperial units (feet and inches) for plant editor

About plant generator. Would it be possible to use non flat faces, for the leaves? Curved faces would be more realistic. A little modification, but a great improvement!

Thanks.

+1 on that.

Another great improvement could be the use of more than just one leave types on single plant. Two or three types differentiated according to the age of leaves could add great degree of realism.

I agree with you all. And besides the leaves with other shapes, the same could be applied to flowers. Different kind of shapes and amounts, as it was in AR4, which give options like "planar", "cup", "sphere" or "cone ".

CAN WE GET PETER MILNER TO TRAIN SOME OF US FOR A TOKEN ?

Good day, forum members,I was thinking that we could each, if interested, contribute a significant token to give Peter Milner and David to train us virtually in nxt render for Autocad. Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this. So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More
