AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

I realise this has been requested numerous times in he Forum, but is there any chance of getting camera control buttons back in NXT? I'm doing more and more photo-montages and not having the precise control as in the walkabout window of AR4. Using the camera controls in AutoCAD is not much better. I used to be able in AR4 to camera match in a matter of minutes, whereas yesterday, it took me all day and it's still not right! Even pulling down the increment slider and using the arrow keys does not help.

If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Paul,

this is a very important issue to me as me as well I do a lot of photomontages. I suggested the developers to find a comfortable solution to camera match several times with no response. Anyway, I generally proceed like this: I make a copy of the background image at low resolution and in greyscale in order to have a smaller image for the walkabout window to manage. Then I make a very simple solid on a separate layer of the building that I'm going to render just for the same reason: increasing the speed of walkabout window. Save the view. Change the background image with the original one (or post-production in PS), visualize all the layers to be rendered, and render.

I have to admit that with bonzai3D (see Match View) it's a pleasure to make camera match, and if you save views they remain the same when importing back the model into ACAD.

Thanks for the prompt response. Glad I'm not the only one having problems with camera matching. That Bonzai3D looks promising as a way to camera match, shame it's another $500, although I see there's a trial version.

The keyboard arrows should work a lot like the old buttons.
