AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Marc has graciously uploaded his plant library to share with us.  It's available on the plant lib download page.  It includes some very high quality leaf textures as well.  This represents a lot of work on his part.

Well, really thanks to Marc.
I appreciate your willingness to share your work Marc.
Thanks a lot man. More grease to your elbow.
Nice set of foliage there Marc. Hopefully, I can repay the favor some day.
What they said.

very nice, very realistic...thank you
Thanks to all.
It would be very interesting to have some kind of "wikiplants", a free online plant library for nXt, created, mantained and used by the nXt users community. The library could cover all the existing plant species, naming the .ArPlant files with the scientific name, like:
- Abies alba.ArPlant
- Acer platanoides.ArPlant
- Citrus lemon.ArPlant
...

I think this is the easiest way to have a complete plants library. The users could add new plants, improve the existing ones, discuss about them, etc.
Sounds like an excellent idea-- want to take it on?

3yrs on .... did this ever happen?

Marc,

We currently distribute plants and materials in a ZIP file with our AccuRender nXt for SketchUp and AccuRender nXt for Revit products.

Is it OK to include these plants in our distribution?

I did add a link to this thread to the SketchUp/Revit forum, so those users can use the plants as well. But it would be convenient for us to include them in our library download.

Al-- just give your users a link to the site. There are going to end up being lots of shared resources online for this community on both of our sites (you should encourage your users to share materials/plants etc.) and I'm pretty sure in the end we'll both prefer the additional traffic over the added convenience.

"Good day, I searched the former forum posts and found another option to solve this  problem which is another plugin to autocad-----AUTOMAPKI.  You can give it a try."

"Found 'Textured Mesh Support' only works with obj and 3ds Files which do not contain PBR Maps. To 'obj' converted newer 3ds do not render in nXt :-("

OBJ Plant Issue - Diffuse Maps

Hi to anyone;maybe a similar issue as Mr.Holz announced recently, (PBR Texture question):-added a obj. plant via 'Textured Mesh Objects' widget-reassigned maps (materials showed up, but with no maps attached, (although mtl. files are  in the same folder as corresponding maps and obj files)-tried to render (see 'result')So my question is: Does anybody knew about how to handle Diffuse Maps in nXt, i suspect there is no interpretation of the UV-Coordinates?Any hints and help kindly appreciated!…See More
