AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Here is virtually the same scene rendered at two different sizes.

The first is to go in a brochure (5080 x 1878 pixels) and the second is to go on the side of a large lorry (10808 x 5404 pixels).

As you can see, the large rendering is virtually black and even if I increase the brightness to maximum in the nXt image editor, it makes very little difference.

This machine has 8GB of RAM-- it's possible the thrashing is too much for it.  OTOH there may be a problem with the file.  Let me take one more look in a day or two-- see exactly where I'm stalled out-- and see if it's worth resending.

That's the problem then. You're running out of RAM as opening the file takes up 10Gb.

Perhaps-- although I'm not sure exceeding the memory space by a few gigs should increase the load time from seconds to days-- something else may be up.

The open file uses up 10Gb of RAM all the time it is open, not just at the start. So, if you haven't got 10Gb to spare, then you can't open it.

Nope-- Windows is a virtual memory system.  If enough RAM isn't present the system will use available disk space (swapfile).  It's just slower.

Any update on this one?

I need to get these renderings done very soon as the trucks are in and can't go out on the road until they've had their graphics applied.

Not really-- this issue may be open for a while.  I don't have an easy way to debug this right now.  Your current best bet would be to render as high a resolution as you can and upsample in photoshop.

I've got a smaller file which exhibits the same problem.

I'll send it over via Wetransfer.

Thanks-- I'll take a look this morning.

Found and fixed (I think).  Render plus should be able to get a build out ASAP.  It will be 349.

There are still a few pixels messed up in the smaller of the two files-- don't know why but it's an unrelated problem and should be easy to clean up in PShop.  Haven't attempted to load the large one here-- but you should once you have the update (and let me know).

That's great news.

The link to the download page seems to be broken at the moment.

I'll let you know, as soon as I get hold of the latest build, if it works with the big file.

Something's up with the Renderplus servers.  They'll announce the build when it's ready.

CAN WE GET PETER MILNER TO TRAIN SOME OF US FOR A TOKEN ?

Good day, forum members,I was thinking that we could each, if interested, contribute a significant token to give Peter Milner and David to train us virtually in nxt render for Autocad. Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this. So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More
