AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

I have to manually appload nXt every time I open AutoCAD 2019.

How do I get it to load automatically?

Could you try running:

ArAcadReg.exe

in

C:\Program Files\AccuRender nXt

It is supposed to get run during the install to add the AccuRender module to the registry, so that the registry looks like this:

Can you look at your registry and see if that worked for you?

Thanks,

Rich

Yes, that worked.

Thanks very much.

Did you only have to tun the program ArAcadReg.exe?

Thanks,

Rich

Yes. Then I opened up AutoCAD and typed nXt and it worked.

However, having closed AutoCAD down and started it again, it's stopped working again.

I wonder what could be causing that.

Can you look at the registry and see if something looks different that what I posted above?

No, it looks the same.

If I run ArAcadReg.exe and then open AutoCAD, it works the first time.

Does it make any difference that I'm actually using AutoCAD Mechanical?

It all works fine with Mechanical 2018.

I don't know why that would be. I can try to get a copy of AutoCAD Mechanical and try it here.

It works with AutoCAD Mechanical 2017.

I can duplicate this with Mechanical 2019.

The registry "LOADER" entry is not getting set properly when I run Mechanical 2019. It does work correctly for me when I run the modules AutoCAD Architecure 2019.

I'll see if I can figure out why it is failing in Mechanical.

We fixed this and posted a new version on the download page.

See if this works better for you.

You will either need to run ArAcadReg.exe again, or use _appload to load the module the first time.

Yes, that's fixed now.

Thank you.

3ds +obj import works for older files-'xfrog-plants', for instance... .Hopefully accurender still survives!

"Found 'Textured Mesh Support' only works with obj and 3ds Files which do not contain PBR Maps. To 'obj' converted newer 3ds do not render in nXt :-("

OBJ Plant Issue - Diffuse Maps

Hi to anyone;maybe a similar issue as Mr.Holz announced recently, (PBR Texture question):-added a obj. plant via 'Textured Mesh Objects' widget-reassigned maps (materials showed up, but with no maps attached, (although mtl. files are  in the same folder as corresponding maps and obj files)-tried to render (see 'result')So my question is: Does anybody knew about how to handle Diffuse Maps in nXt, i suspect there is no interpretation of the UV-Coordinates?Any hints and help kindly appreciated!…See More

"Thanks for your kind words. Yes, all plants are generated with nxt plant-editor. I have used leaves from Marc Chaumier's plant library. (Download/ Content + Entourage)"

"Sorry, do not exactly how to do it right. If i sent you one or  sets, could you "compose" one material as an example? Maybe this is interesting for others too.."
