AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

First shot at interior daylighting since AR3, 60 passes and still going, will those dining chairs ever resolve? Being at it for two hours now. Latest build, default light settings except for the colour tone down to 0.5.

Any pointers at this stage is highly welcomed.

The architrave round the edge of the ceiling doesn't fit properly.  I ran into that while try to extrude the lower en of it insteade of extruding again. Also the curtains top are hidden behind the cornice.

The skirting round the edge of the floor is partially enclosed in the wall and has the same material as the floor.  Here we most use the same material as the floor for skirting (mostly cutting the floor tiles into strips.)

The glass in the double doors isn't tagged as a daylight source. Must have forgotten to do that.

I'm not sure why there are odd reflections round the edges of the floor. I'll see If I can track it down. What of the light leaking in from the side of the wall beside the door?

The is wonderful how many passes so far?

The light near the door is just the sun light coming through the glass and hitting the wall.

This was 150 passes.

Is this path tracer or packet tracer.
Packet tracer.
68 passes and still going. Not sure am getting the curtail right. shader default with sharpness 0.11. transparency inensity 0.33, IOR 1.0, Burriness 0.89 with glow 0.2. No texture no bump.

I believe am getting there. Attached to is autocad file, while we await Peters'. 6 passes and going good.

One immediate thing I notice with the model is that your viewpoint is from outside the building looking in through the window. I used the clipping plane, I want to get as much view of the room as possible.
Check your refractive bounces-- you may not be getting all the way out the window. So far at default for interior day lighting. What do you suggest?

Refractive bounces is normally set to 8-- which is usually plenty.  It doesn't change with the preset so if you alter it, it won't go back.  It's clearly not an issue anymore since I can now see the windows behind the curtain.

I agree with George, very nice tips!
Peter, thanks this tips are great. maybe yon can share the drawing file when finished.  Of course if Akin and you agree about sharing this info.
