AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Hi all!

I'm experiencing something strange: I've created a new material with the material editor as standalone app, and then I've imported it into a model. By trying to modify it in Acad, some parametres disappeared.

By looking deeply to all parametres, I discovered that in the Material Editor the separator of decimals (typed with the "point" in the numeric keyboard) is actually a "coma", while in the Material Editor within Acad it is still a "point". That causes an error when passin from one tab to another and settings to desalineate.

Anybody experienced that?

This is the material.

Check your drawing units.  The standalone Material Editor offers choices of millimeters or inches-- AutoCAD has more.  The material looks correct but you may have trouble editing settings, if, for example, your AutoCAD drawing unit is meters.

Thanks Roy.

I've checked units: standalone is in millimeters and drawing in meters. Does editor's units remain once I open the material in drawing or does it adapt to dwg units?

It always adapts to the dwg units.  I'm pretty sure everything is working OK, except that the setting in question is too small to edit in when you switch to meters.  I'm not sure how to handle this one.  The commas and the decimal point are probably not affecting this issue at all.  I'm not actually setting anything-- AutoCAD likely is.

Maybe you have to change in Regional settings in Control panel the decimal separator character to be . (dot) and not , (comma). I had similar problem wiith dot and comma in other CAD program once.

This is the way I don't want to follow, as far as it will influence all system and programs!

Thanks anyway!

Yes, but Windows applications are not so "huffish" as regards the decimal separation symbol (Excel for instance works well with both dot and comma). Good luck anyway.
