AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Any idea what might be causing the white specks on this one?

More appear the longer the render time. This one ran for about 200 passes.

Material has a tiny bit of soft reflection and is set to "No light source reflections".

Lighting is HDRI only.

Resolution is 1754 x 1240

Where are they? Path tracer?
Yes, Path Tracer.
You need to view at 100% size to see them.
Try this attached version.

With the path tracer, none of the reflection shaders do anything at all-- the settings are ignored.

Lots of things that are not bugs can produce these fireflies-- small, very bright spots on the hdri could easily be the culprit. Generally speaking, they fade away-- even if they show up at some later point in the calc.

Lots of things that are bugs can also produce these, of course. If you want, you can send the .nXtImage and I'll check on the value being returned.
Checking the .nxtimage the specks are in the order of 1000 to 5000 lumens whereas the surrounding area is only around 40 to 70 lumens.
The HDRI file is the one I posted a link to. A very high resolution soft sunset.
I'll try running one overnight to see if they dissappear.
If you use the light channels am sure you can eliminate these spots if you can locate the right channel and like Roy suggested it might be the HDRi, as a control try using artificial lighting and day lighting to see if the spots goes. This will help in nailing down the problem.
Light channels won't make any difference as there is only HDRI lighting.
Call the bomb squad! I don't trust that briefcase
Peter's so good, he can even make a realistic plant with the plant editor.
I'm working on a little forest in a garden, just with Plant editor. Here is just a little quick render. I've made some different trees, and shrubs. I founded that was a good beginning. I don't know if I can do better, but when it's finished, I will put my trees to download. If you are interested... ;o)

I am interested.
Excellent trees. But that garden's going to be a mess when the Autumn comes.
Okay. I've run this one for 2000 passes, but the specks are worse.
I'll try a different HDRI next as akinlolu suggested.
