AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Hi All

Problem :- the client never make their minds ups and change colour schemes all the time.

Same model different colour scheme, with the problem of having to keep the old schemes because you never know when it will be the new scheme again.

So we have Lighting Scheme where you can load/save scheme.

Why can we not have Material scheme you can load/save scheme.

Or have I missed the boat and there is a easy way I don't know about.

So I save models (adwg files) per scheme, but it's a pain when model changes are needed.

thanks

You are not the only one that miss the save material of AR3/4 days. No I do not believe you missed the boat, it just is not there any more.

Is there any reason why it not a quick update for the next release?

There is great value in this save function right.

It's difficult to implement.  Don't look for it anytime soon.

Well Roy, please put it on the wishlist for me.

How about creating the model with no materials assigned. Then XREF it into a new drawing where you assign materials, set lighting etc. Then for a new colour scheme you simply save your drawing under a new name and then change all the materials.

This way you have one model for updating (the original) and many scenes with different colour schemes (containing the XREF).

Hope that makes sense.
