AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Gentlemen,

See attached file - a car, imported from the web, created from 3d faces.

Unfortunately, there is absolutely no smoothness there.

Any idea how to make it soft and nice? I mean just the body, tires & glass layers

Otherwise, the car looks pretty from far, but, unfortunately, far from pretty if one come closer... :)

As I am an architect, I belive in right angles and stright lines. Therefore I do not work a lot with stuff like nurbs or surfaces, so any help appreciated...  :)

This is rather AutoCAD issue, but maybe you will find a solution which could be good for us, nXt-renderers..

Drawing keeps crashing as soon as I load nxt. There seems to be an offending layer or material attached to the car.

George - thank you very much! How did you achieve such an awesome effect??

Looks gorgeous, indeed..

What do you mean Maciej, which effect exactly? The only thing I did was to use Tailors add-on routine (http://www.polyface.de/) for sewing 3d faces into polyface mesh. I think nXt is smoothing this type of 3D entities automatically so I just hit the Render button then and voilà...  Furthermore, another nice car model (EVO 7, war machine that sucks kids and kites, as Jeremy Clarkson stated once :D) was added to my personal collection, with your kind permission, of course ;) Thank you in advance.

CAN WE GET PETER MILNER TO TRAIN SOME OF US FOR A TOKEN ?

Good day, forum members,I was thinking that we could each, if interested, contribute a significant token to give Peter Milner and David to train us virtually in nxt render for Autocad. Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this. So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More
