advanced rendering for AutoCAD
Just installed Autocad Architecture 2014. Installed nXt version 1.0.326 and I get an error message after I type nxt on the command prompt. It says:
An executable file was found outside of the specified trusted locations. What do you want to do?
c:\program files\accurender nxt\accurender nxt_19_64.arx
Make sure that this file comes from a trusted source and does not contain malicious code.
Then I get the option on the pop up window to LOAD, DO NOT LOAD, HELP. I click on LOAD and I get I get 4 more pop up windows with similar messages for each nxt file that it needs to load up.
It does this every time I startup up nXt in a new Acad session. How can I fix this?
I also get the nxtRender pop up window to validate the program. I fill in the blanks and click on CHECK LICENSE AND VALIDATE. It tells me that my computer is ALREADY AUTHORIZED. But it keeps asking to do this every time I start up nXt in a new Acad session. How can I fix this?

Yeah-- they added some new security in 2014 to try to prevent AutoCAD malware. You can turn this completely off by setting SECURELOAD to 0. If you want to retain the security there is a TRUSTEDPATHS system variable-- and likely some place in the Settings DB to do this-- I'm pretty sure you can add nXt's path to the list although I'm not sure of the details.
Thanks Roy, that worked.
Could someone help with these details as I do not want to put the SECURELOAD to 0 as a result of the experience I had in the past of an attack on my AutoCad files.
There is a Trusted Locations folder in the Options DB. There are also a TRUSTEDPATHS and TRUSTEDDOMAINS system variables. See AutoCAD help.
Thanks finally got it done.
That is another way to go about it, I wonder why I did not go that route.
Do you know the reason after adding this to trusted locations the command is still not recognized?
No. It worked for me.
Could you post the message that you see?
And perhaps a screen shot of the trusted locations dialog, as above?

We have had few cases like this where the software was authorized earlier this year and the authcode generated doesn't seem to want to stick.
The quickest way to fix this has been to use the "Report Problem..." button on our license dialog to send us a message. Then I can generate a new authcode for you and email it back with instruction on how to paste it into the license dialog.
Please try that.
Thanks.
Just sent the email using the "REPORT PROBLEM" window. I will wait for the new authcode. Thanks.
