AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

We have released a new version of nXtRender for AutoCAD - version 0343-NI04

This release includes both some Core Engine changes and some User Interface changes.

Version Numbers

343 is the nXt engine version number like we have been using in the past. NI04 is the release date (N=2014, I=September 04=day of month). This longer version number lets us have several UI change releases per base engine release and still keep track of them.

Licensing and Renewals

Everyone who purchased or renewed nXtRender anytime in 2013 or 2014 will be able to use this, and all new releases in 2014 without having to renew their license. (Normally you need to renew you license after 12 months to use new versions).

People who have not upgraded to nXtRender from AccuRender nXt (AR5) will need to renew their license to use this version. See: Renewals

New Features

- A few core changes have been made since the last version, such as a fix where the Hybrid engine interior simulation direct sunlight soft shadows was not resolving properly.

- You can now drag and drop materials from File Explorer into the nXt Material Pallet

- Lighting Channel was added as a column for the Lights list.
- And you can now sort the Light list by clicking on any column header.

- You can now sort the Layer Material list by clicking on any column header.

Additional new Features

We are working on the list of requested features and changes in this post:

We posted a new version, 0343-NI10, today with these fixes:

  • Fixed Add Textured Mesh Object. The SketchUp importer was not working.
  • Fixed the Layer Material Schemes function that was not loading and crashing ACAD.
  • Fixed a problem where a model was not rendering or a user.

Was ist hier passiert????

Die NI10 funktiniert überhaupt nicht.

Warum stürtzt Acad immer ab???????????

We are going to post a new install which is based upon the 0337 toolkit as soon as we can get it tested on the various platforms and versions of AutoCAD.

Meanwhile,iIn order to go back to a previous version, such as a 0337 version which you had downloaded earlier, you will need to make sure that there are no files in the folder:

     C:\Program Files\AccuRender nXt

(I am assuming this is where you install nXtRender, it is the default location.)

before you install the older version.

Delete all the files and folders in that directory before installing the older version, 0337.

This will ensure there is no conflict between installing the 2 versions, and help to ensure you will not have any additional problems.

Ich habe jetzt weiter getestet und habe den Pfad

C:\Program Files\AccuRender nXt

gelöscht. Dann den Rechner neu gestartet und eine alte Version installiert.

Die Installation hat geklappt, aber sobald ich in Acad 2011 64 Bit versuche zu rendern stürtzt Acad ab. Why???????????

Was läuft da schief?? What can i do??????????

What was the name of the installation file for the old version that you installed?

Was it "arnxt64_0337.exe"?

Yes

I'm at a loss.

Is that the folder where nXt is installed?

C:\Program Files\AccuRender nXt

Or is is it spelled differently on your machine, using the German spelling, or on another drive?

If that is where it is installed, could you look at the files in that folder and make sure that the Arx and DLL files are the old files, dated on or before April 29, 2014?

Ich habe das in dieses Verzeichnis installiert.

C:\Program Files\AccuRender nXt

Ob ich noch ältere DLLs oder ARX Dateien habe, weiss ich nicht. Wo kann ich das nach schauen??

I just meant to use File Explorer to look at the dates of those files in that folder. Like this:

All of these .arx files should show dates April 29, 2014.

nXtRender for AutoCAD - 64 bit - Version: 0337-NG17  -  this is what I see on nXt download website as the last release. Where can I get the new 0343-NI04 version from?

BTW - my license number begins with XAMG... which makes me belive there is no need to renew my license, is it?

Regards,

Maciej

We pulled that 0343-NI04 version yesterday and put the 0337-NG17 back up until we can get a new version built with the 0337 toolkit that has the new features.

I'll post a message here after we test it and post it.

You license will still work, there is no need to renew it.

So I'll be patient.

Thank you for your answer, Rich.

Regards,

Maciej.
