AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

This is a test.
For the next statement this User, in an effort to get something to show up in the new AccuRender nXt AR5 forum, is conduction this test. This is only a test.
*Beep*
This concluded this test of posting to the AccuRender nXt AR5 forum. If this had been a real post then there would have been something worthwhile to discuss. If this does not work then the silly thing does not work for me.

Edit:

I appears I can start a new discussion (new post) but I can not reply to an existing discussion thread. The message is "Your response did not match the words. Please try again." - much like some others have reported on the old AR5 forum.

If it is something on the side of office security then there is little I can do as that is not something they change or adjust on a User-by-User basis. It could be a Browser issue, but I doubt that seeing as most everything else appears to work and it is a fully updated IE.

No problem here with Mozilla, I will check what happen with Internet Explorer
Eric B -

We just had this problem with another member. The problem was the proxy server in the office. The *ning.com needs to be whitelisted. Is there a way they can allow ning networks for all employees? There is no way to allow only accurender.ning.com that i know of.
We did have this problem, in fact we are still having it! Every combination for your web site has been whitelisted at my end but still the style information for the site, the photos & icons do not come through. I'm not sure what is different about this site from the old site, what ever it is - it is not working on our windows 7 64 bit machines running IE8.

All other sites that I have tried to go to are either blocked completely or have all information, photos, styles, etc. coming through.
You're obviously able to reply to a post, though.

It's clearly not the browser/OS combo-- what you've got is certainly the most popular one (it's what I'm using right now.) The site works perfectly on all of the computers here and all of the ones at McNeel as far as we know-- a wide variety of OS and browser combos. This is most likely some type of security setting. We'll need to do a little more sleuthing to figure it out. (Does it work from home?)
Yes it does, without a hitch, infact I do much of my viewing of images and posting from home as the blackberry screen & buttons are just too small. Home has typical home firewall through windows and 1 through the switch. I has the internet settings on medium with cookies on, otherwise pretty standard & it works on IE & Firefox with no issues.

At work the IE 8 security settings are now set the same & I have had the ning.com site as well as the accurender.ning & /forums portions all added to our whitelist both at the computers and at the server. Beyond that I'm at a loss for what to try next.
Have you tried other ning sites from work? Here's Flamingo, Sketchup, and Grasshopper for example.
Attempting to reply to Roy's post here:
The Flamingo, Sketchup and Grasshopper sites appear to function - however I did not attempt a post or reply.
Hopefully this will work...
(fingers crossed)
Flamingo, & Grasshopper are blocked and Sketchup appears the same as this site - without style info. Hmmm... we will talk here since apparently some portion of the blocking software is going around our whitelist.

Are those all under the ning.com site name? They get redirected so quickly I don't get a chance to see the address.
Yes, these are all Ning sites. I have a message into ning to see if we can detamine specifically what is being blocked to cause these problems.
Hey guys, here is a response from Ning.

"It sounds like api.ning.com and/or static.ning.com may be being blocked in that member's office environment."

Can you add these to unblock?
Attempting to reply directly off the forum link…
This is where we were having so much difficulty yesterday. We did not see anything on the office-side security that would block functionality here. If this does not work it must be something very specific and therefore more difficult to track down.
Hope it works.
Both of these attempts now appear to work. (Post from Forum front page and Reply from within thread)
"Something" did change as I just recently received all the alerts to the previous posts on this thread just moments ago in one clump. So, somewhere some "gate" decided to "open" and it appears to be working.

I will be a bit trepidations, but I will venture so far as to say that it looks like it is working here now.
