AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Hello guys

I have been working on the 2 Renderers for a simple Interior Scene.

What Id like to know is

- How to optimize the Quality vs Time Ratio in both Renderers?

- How to tweak the Original Renderer for dark areas etc. Do I need to tag areas like we used to in Ar3?

For example, I believe if I Render an Interior Scene with Sunlight + Lights On, it may take longer than Sunlight only.

I really like the Pathtracer but how to resolve the image faster?

regards

Roy, one question about difference between "glossy" and "balanced" settings: in "balanced, the environment is reflected, lights, colors, shapes, etc. with precision; I believe. But in "glossy", what is exactly reflected?
Primary light sources including the sky.  Often enough to capture most of the lighting on these surfaces without a lot of calculation.  Adding back the other light does change things, often subtley, but at significant expense.

Thanks Roy and Peter, this thread and replies were very informative, I am making some headway in Interior Renders and there are some nice results, I will post them soon.

Hi

Attached is something I was doing since yesterday, it's evidently incomplete but the results are encouraging.

Heres something else with encouraging results, Ive always wanted AR to render frosted glass in a proper way, this is exceeding expectations!

Thanks!

Heres an update Rendering with Daylight+Interior in Pathtracer with Frosted Glass. Really nice results even though it needs to be resolved more.

Looking good.

Are you using Blurry Transparency to create the frosted glass or Sandpaper texture?

I used Sandpaper Texture. Pros and Cons please :)
what is your harware to compute 2000 passes in 6 hrs?... and the size of the file?

Hi Marc

Its a Dell Xeon at the office X5650 2.67 Ghz, 12 Gb RAM. There are 6 CPUs I guess. At peak it seems to use only 6Gb RAM.

Questions for nxt render for autocad

Good day everyone,Can anyone here help me with these issues i keep having with nxt render for autocad ?1. How do you bring in textured models into autocad ( 3ds and obj) without losing their textures or having to re-assign them.2. How do you move these objects from place to place without experiencing viewport refresh sluggishness in the autocad viewport ?3. How do you add dirt to fabric textures for rendering.4. How do you avoid repeat patterns in textures for rendering ?See More
