advanced rendering for AutoCAD
Hello guys
I have been working on the 2 Renderers for a simple Interior Scene.
What Id like to know is
- How to optimize the Quality vs Time Ratio in both Renderers?
- How to tweak the Original Renderer for dark areas etc. Do I need to tag areas like we used to in Ar3?
For example, I believe if I Render an Interior Scene with Sunlight + Lights On, it may take longer than Sunlight only.
I really like the Pathtracer but how to resolve the image faster?

Thanks Roy and Peter, this thread and replies were very informative, I am making some headway in Interior Renders and there are some nice results, I will post them soon.

Hi
Attached is something I was doing since yesterday, it's evidently incomplete but the results are encouraging.

Heres an update Rendering with Daylight+Interior in Pathtracer with Frosted Glass. Really nice results even though it needs to be resolved more.
Looking good.
Are you using Blurry Transparency to create the frosted glass or Sandpaper texture?
Hi Marc
Its a Dell Xeon at the office X5650 2.67 Ghz, 12 Gb RAM. There are 6 CPUs I guess. At peak it seems to use only 6Gb RAM.
