AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

The arcs with a thickness value > 0 does not get rendered in nXt

If I draw a line and change the line's thickness to any not null value, nXt renders the resulting extruded surface, but doing the same with arcs produces no results in the rendered image:

Hi Albert,

I really don't know why arcs act like they were invisible, but you surely can convert arcs with thikness into meshes, without increasing significantly the file dimensions.

They're not currently supported.  If you absolutely need them, let me know on the dev. forum.

thanks Miguel!

Roy: no, there are various alternatives, as Miguel pointed. It's just that one user missed it, more when the thickness-based extrusion of a line is rendered. It looked like a forgotten case.

another thing we miss is the spherical decals (currently, there are the box, and cilindrical ones). This is quite more important than the extruded arcs, at least to this particular user. (this is just feedback that you can use to sort the wish list).

Thanks-- what's the application for spherical decals?

to print a logo on a spherical surface, for example. As seen, this was possible on Accurender 4.

Albert, are you not working on something like a plant editor?
No, I only extended the nxt plant editor to support seasons in our Landscaping package, maybe you are referring to this.
Roy, is there a special forum for development proposals?
There is a special forum for developers.  Albert is a member.  He's part of Asuni Cad and McNeel Barcelona.
I see... I thought it was opened to everyone.
Extrude the arc into a surface rather than give it a thickness.
Yes, I tried it and it works very well. Even i can convert the current arc with thickness to a "Surface (extrusion)" through the _convtosurface command. And it keeps the arc properties (grip points to edit the radius, arc length and height). This is what Miguel has done some posts above.
