I don't think I save it in an unencrypted form anywhere.  If you don't have the original email with the key you'll need to have someone at McNeel look it up.  Let me know.

McNeel's European technical support have sent it to me.

Now to start testing my new 12 core machine.

Holy mother! Can you provide some detailed specifications - cost, Peter? Thanks.

It's a Dell Precision T7500 with dual 6 core Xeons running at 3.05 GHz and 24Gb RAM.

It was a custom built machine they had in stock reduced from about £7000 to £2900.

Wow! Looks like you've got a real bargain!

Ok guys, let's all submit jobs to Peter now! :)

I've just managed to turn hyperthreading on, so I now get 24 little graphs in the task manager window.

So far it looks to be at least 3 times faster than my old 8 core.

It would be interesting to measure with and without hyperthreading (only do this if it's not too much of a pain in the neck.)  I do create two threads per physical core now.

As a rough indication, a recent render on the old machine managed 248 passes over a weekend (64 hours).

On the new machine without hyperthreading after half an hour I estimated around 650 passes could be achieved over the same time period.

With hyperthreading enabled that estimate rose to around 800.

If I get a quiet moment I'll try a more precise comparison with a test render.

"For compatibility with AutoCAD 2026 you would need to purchase a license upgrade for nXtRender (AccuRender).  As an AR5 license holder you are eligible for a discount which we can give to you if you contact us at support@renderplus.com."
